Discipleship Small Groups
Throughout His public ministry, Jesus formed a close community of followers, teaching them, praying with them, sharing food, and preparing them to carry His mission into the world. At Stella Maris Parish, our Discipleship Small Groups follow this same model of accompaniment, formation, and mission.
These small groups provide an opportunity for individuals to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church through prayer, scripture, faith-sharing, and authentic Christian fellowship. Meeting regularly throughout our parish in small group settings allows participants to ask questions, share their experiences, encourage one another, and live their faith more intentionally in everyday life.
The goal of Discipleship Small Groups is to be transformed as disciples who are equipped and empowered to share the Gospel with others. Through ongoing formation, discussion, and relationship-building, participants develop confidence in their Catholic faith, learn how to accompany others on a spiritual journey, and discover their unique gifts for service within the Church and the broader community.
Discipleship is a lifelong journey. Whether you are new to the faith, returning after time away, or seeking to deepen your commitment, a small group can provide the support, accountability, and encouragement needed to continue growing as a disciple.
As Jesus invested in the Twelve, we seek to invest in one another- forming missionary disciples who encounter Christ, follow Christ, worship Christ, and share Him with others.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:19)
