Families of Faith- Parent Group

At Stella Maris, faith formation is not just for children- it is a journey for the whole family. That is why we offer our Families of Faith adult group, which meets most Sundays after Mass at our Baileys Harbor site.

The Catholic Church teaches that parents are the primary educators of their children in the faith. Families of Faith is designed to support parents in this important vocation by providing lessons and discussions on many of the same topics their children are learning in religious education classrooms. Whether the subject is the Creed, Sacraments, Scripture, the Mass, prayer, the lives of the saints, or Catholic moral teaching, parents receive practical information and resources to help them continue faith formation at home.

These gatherings provide an opportunity to ask questions, deepen their own understanding of the Catholic faith, and connect with other families who share the desire to raise their children as disciples of Jesus Christ. Together, we explore how faith can be lived not only on Sundays, but in everyday family life.

When parents grow in faith, children benefit. Conversations at home become richer, family prayer becomes more meaningful, and the lessons learned in the classroom are reinforced through daily living.

All family members and friends are welcome to join us as we learn, grow, and support one another in the sacred mission of passing on the gift of faith to the children of Stella Maris Parish.
