The love of knitting/crocheting and a desire to help others have combined to form a prayerful ministry and spiritual practice that reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace as well as in celebration and joy. A blessing is offered before the shawl is sent on its way. We have donated many shawls and lapgahns to individuals in need of comfort. The group meets twice each month to crochet, knit, sew or quilt. Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at 1 p.m. at our site in Sister Bay and on the third Monday of each month at 1 p.m. at our site in Egg Harbor. Others make items at home. Personalized free lessons are available if you would like to learn to knit or crochet. For more information contact Dixie Van Vorous at (920) 421-4277 or click here to email.
