13th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Get Used to Different

The question is not, “Is Jesus calling me?”
You are here.  He is calling you?
The question is, “To what is Jesus calling me?”

I hear you, Jesus.
And I will follow you – as long as you do not ask too much of me.
An hour per week – Yeah, I can do that.
A little each week from the money I have left after I pay my bills and buy a few things that I want…yeah, I can do that.
Help my neighbor…well, as long as I can be home before the game starts…I suppose I could help out.

Jesus wants no little sacrifice…he wants you to give him your life!

“Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance, the only thing it cannot be is moderately important.” – C.S. Lewis

Yeah, I a sort of into Jesus – but there are other things that I want to do with my life.
If Christianity is true – it is of infinite importance.
If Jesus is who he said he is – the Son of God
If Jesus rose from the dead, then that is the most important news of all…
And the Good News changes everything.
